Does FlexGuard Contain Shark Cartilage, Collagen or Vitamin D?
No. The FlexGuard panel lists eight named actives and two other ingredients, hypromellose and rice flour. It shows no shark, bovine or chicken cartilage, no collagen, no hyaluronic acid and no vitamin D. The source of its chondroitin is not published, so ask the order desk if that matters to you.

Shoppers often type a short list of names into a search box: bovine cartilage, shark cartilage, collagen, vitamin D. They want to know whether a joint capsule carries what they have heard about.
FlexGuard makes this easy to check, because the label prints every row. This page walks through what is not on it, and where the label goes quiet.
What is actually on the FlexGuard panel?
Eight named actives, each with an amount per capsule. They add up to 699 mg.
| Row | Amount per capsule |
|---|---|
| Glucosamine Sulfate | 500 mg |
| Indian Frankincense (Boswellia serrata) (herb) | 67 mg |
| Chondroitin Sulfate | 50 mg |
| Turmeric (Curcuma longa) (root) | 50 mg |
| Quercetin (Sophora japonica) (bud) | 8 mg |
| Methionine | 8 mg |
| Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) | 8 mg |
| Bromelain (Ananas comosus) (stem) | 8 mg |
Other ingredients: hypromellose (vegetable capsule), rice flour. Contains: shellfish (crayfish).
That is the complete list. A name that is not in this table is not on the panel.
Does FlexGuard contain shark, bovine or chicken cartilage?
The panel lists none of them as an ingredient. Cartilage from an animal would have to appear as a row, and the eight rows are the whole list.
There is one subtlety. Chondroitin sulfate, which is on the panel, is usually made from bovine trachea or fish cartilage. The label does not say which source this capsule uses. That detail is not published, and this page will not guess.
If the animal source matters to you, for example for dietary or religious reasons, call the order desk on +1 (877) 257-0710 and ask what the seller can state in writing. The shellfish line is a separate matter: the glucosamine comes from crayfish.

Does FlexGuard contain collagen or hyaluronic acid?
No. The site lists collagen, hyaluronic acid and vitamin D together as three things buyers often expect in a joint capsule and do not find on this panel.
Collagen is a large topic on its own. Most joint collagen trials used type II collagen at 40 mg a day. The products sold most heavily are hydrolysed type I and III collagen at ten grams. These are different ideas that share one word. FlexGuard sits in neither group.
Does FlexGuard contain vitamin D, calcium or other bone nutrients?
No. Nothing on the panel is a vitamin or a mineral. That is why every row shows a dagger in the Daily Value column. A Daily Value exists only where a reference intake has been set, and none has for these eight ingredients.
So FlexGuard is not a bone formula. A formula sold for bone and joint health may add minerals or vitamins. This one adds none, and it makes no claim about bones. The seller's statements are about joint comfort, mobility and everyday joint stress.
What else is not in the capsule?
- No proprietary blend. Every row has its own number.
- No stimulant, caffeine or green tea extract.
- No sweetener, flavouring or colouring.
- No gelatin. The shell is hypromellose.
- No declared allergen other than shellfish.
That list comes from the label and the site's own ingredients page. It does not say the capsule is better or worse. It says what you will not find.
Does a shorter ingredient list mean a better supplement?
Not by itself. A product with fewer names can carry larger amounts of each. A product with more names usually carries smaller shares. A capsule holds a fixed amount of powder, so every extra name takes a smaller piece.
FlexGuard falls on the broad side. Its glucosamine row is 71 per cent of the active weight, and four rows are 8 mg each. A buyer who wants collagen, bone nutrients or a specific cartilage source should look at a different product and read that label the same way.
How do you check any bottle for these names?
- Read the Supplement Facts panel, not the front of the bottle.
- Look for the name in the rows, then in the other-ingredients line.
- Check the unit and the amount. A name with a tiny amount is a different thing from a named dose.
- Read the allergen line.
- Ask the seller for anything the label leaves out, and note what they cannot answer.
The same steps are on the choosing a joint supplement page.
- FlexGuard lists eight actives (699 mg in all) and two other ingredients: hypromellose and rice flour.
- No shark, bovine or chicken cartilage appears as an ingredient.
- No collagen, hyaluronic acid or vitamin D appears on the panel.
- The source animal for the chondroitin is not published.
- The only declared allergen is shellfish (crayfish), from the glucosamine.
- FlexGuard is a dietary supplement and is not FDA approved.
Frequently asked questions
Does FlexGuard contain shark cartilage?
No. Shark cartilage is not one of the eight named rows or the two other ingredients on the panel. The source animal for its chondroitin sulfate is not published.
Does FlexGuard contain bovine or chicken cartilage?
Neither is listed as an ingredient. Chondroitin is usually made from bovine trachea or fish cartilage, but the label does not name this capsule's source, so ask the order desk.
Does FlexGuard have collagen?
No. The panel has no collagen row. The site lists collagen, hyaluronic acid and vitamin D as things buyers often expect and do not find here.
Does FlexGuard have vitamin D?
No. Nothing on the panel is a vitamin or mineral, which is why each row shows a dagger instead of a Daily Value. It is not a bone formula.
Is FlexGuard free of allergens?
No. The panel declares Contains: Shellfish (Crayfish). No other allergen is declared. The product is not suitable for a shellfish allergy or a vegan or vegetarian diet.
Where can I see the full ingredient list?
On the supplement facts page of this site, which reproduces the printed panel line for line. Check it against the bottle you hold, because the bottle is the authority.
Our view
What a label leaves out is part of what it says. FlexGuard leaves out collagen, vitamins and animal cartilage, and it prints a number against everything it includes. We think that clarity is its best feature.
The one open point is the source of the chondroitin. If you need that answer, ask for it before you buy. Everything else on the panel can be read by anyone with the bottle and a minute.

Three bottles cover 90 days, and the 60-day guarantee counts from the day you pay.
